Crayons! Remember the colors, the texture, the smell? The sharpener! Remember how they’d break but you could use ‘em anyway? And then there was the absolute thrill of opening a brand new pack?

Guess what? I help people remember the magic of crayons!

Here’s what I mean: Have you ever known someone who feels a bit out of touch with their life? They yearn to fulfill their purpose but can’t quite put a finger on what it is. Or perhaps they know, but something keeps them from moving forward, from taking inspired action.

My purpose is to reacquaint people with their own set of magic crayons, i.e., their Creative Self. How? In a nutshell: Tools and exercises are provided to facilitate a deeper awareness of life’s journey; we uncover thoughts and actions which block goals; support is given as they ‘color in’ the details of their visions and dreams, regaining the use of their exceptional abilities. By reconnecting with their creative flow and natural intuition, people discover what they truly want and how to make it all happen. I work with individuals and groups, and offer a complementary consultation.

Lisa has been creative all her life. Growing up, she was the weird kid making up songs on her ways to school, dressing up her dog in handmade finery, and lapsing into strange accents in the middle of conversations. She was the one you could always turn to for advice when you needed a clever approach to a school project. And when your life was too much to handle, she would sit with you, and just listen. Today you can still find Lisa singing and dancing, writing, and helping others find their creative way. She has a diverse background in environmental planning, environmental education, gemology, performance, motivation, and jewelry design. She has taught outdoor education, jewelry history, jewelry making, children’s programs, and vocal training. Whatever she is doing, her goals are always the same: make a difference, create meaningful connections, and help others to see their own light.

When I was a kid, I used to fake sick so I could stay home from school. And what would I do on my hooky days? I’d play school. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to learn. I just didn’t want to learn that way. In my self-directed classes at home, I’d invent languages, write plays and design houses.

After resisting school all those years, I became...a teacher. In my 20 years as a gifted education specialist, I’ve supported hundreds of students in becoming creative producers despite obstacles like perfectionism, procrastination and other forms of resistance. Now, as a Certified Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coach, I’m delighted to do similar work with adults by supporting them in their creative pursuits.
